How do I join the scheme and get access to the discounts?
To join the scheme and access all the discounts we have on offer, you need to work for the NHS or DVLA. You can then join the scheme by going to http://www.mediccarenhs.co.uk/register.php
I've lost my Gold Card or need additional cards for my family members.
Gold discount cards can be requeted by filling in our goldcard form, by emailing us at goldcards@mediccarenhs.co.uk or by calling 01942 612000. Remember, NHS staff can use their official NHS ID to obtain discounts.
Is there a cost for NHS/DVLA staff to use the scheme?
The discount scheme run by Medic Care is completely free of charge for NHS & DVLA staff.
How do I get the discounts advertised?
To obtain the discounts you see listed on this website you simply show your Gold Discount Card or Official NHS ID at the time of ordering / purchasing.
Can I get discounts in other areas/towns?
Yes, you can use your NHS ID or Gold Discount Card to obtain discounts all over the UK. Providing the business is listed on our website, they'll give you the discount.
Can my family use the scheme?
Family members of people working for the NHS & DVLA are allowed to use the scheme. They will however need a Gold Discount Card.

What should I do if a business refuses or disputes the advertised discount?
All the businesses listed on this website will give you the advertised discount. However, if you do have any issues obtaining a discount that is currently on display, fill in our contact form or call us on 01942 612000.

No, Your contract is with Medic Care Ltd - and this is where all enquiries should be directed.
How Will I Recognise the Staff ?
All staff members have to produce either their Employee I.D card or a Medic Care Gold Card to obtain the discount on offer.
How Much Discount Do I Have To Offer?
This is entirely up to each individual business.
Do I Have to Offer a Discount Every Day Throughout The Year & On Everything?
Some companies will whilst others offer it on limited stock or on certain days of the week e.g. Many hairdressers and restaurants offer discounts Mon - Thurs only as these are their quietest days . All discounts are agreed with you first. Please take into account National holidays such as Christmas and New Year
How is The Scheme Promoted To Staff Throughout the Year?
By Email, Promotional posters which are installed in all key staffing areas; Staff magazines & newsletters and at induction days for new employees. We attend open days and give out free pens, leaflets and offer competitions to ensure we get the staff involved

No, the website is updated daily so always check for new businesses offering discounts.

Is My Card Only Accepted Locally?
No your card is accepted throughout the U.K. Please check our website for details
